Black Ops 6 Zombies: The Death Pit Event – Rewards, Leaderboards, and How to Climb the Ranks

The undead are back with a vengeance in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, and this time, they’ve brought a deadly new competition with them — The Death Pit.

This limited-time event went live on October 16, 2025, at 10 AM PT, and it’s completely exclusive to the Zombies mode. Unlike standard challenges, The Death Pit operates as a leaderboard-based event, rewarding players for how much Essence they can earn before the event concludes on October 23 at 10 AM PT.

💀 What Is The Death Pit Event?

The Death Pit is a ranking-style competition that builds on the leaderboard system first introduced in Season 5. Players compete to earn as much Essence as possible by playing the Haunted Havoc LTM (Limited-Time Mode).

Your total Essence score over the seven-day event determines your final position on the leaderboard — and the higher you finish, the better your prizes.

Most of the rewards are GobbleGums, consumable power-ups that boost gameplay in Zombies mode. Best of all, these GobbleGums will carry over to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, making this event a great way to stock up before the next chapter begins.

These can be completed alongside your leaderboard grind, making it possible to stack multiple rewards in one session.

🎯 How to Climb the Death Pit Leaderboard Quickly

• Play Haunted Havoc nonstop: The event’s only active in this mode, so focus your time there.

• Farm Essence efficiently: Maximize kills, complete objectives, and use Essence boosts to speed up progress.

• Use GobbleGums strategically: Consumables like Power Keg or Arsenal Acceleration help you rack up higher kill counts per run.

• Squad up: Coordinated teams clear objectives faster, letting you accumulate Essence more efficiently.

🕒 Event Duration

The Death Pit event runs October 16–23, 2025, giving players a full week to grind for Essence, climb the leaderboard, and secure their rewards before it disappears.

This is one of the final Zombies events in Black Ops 6, and with GobbleGums transferring to Black Ops 7, it’s the perfect sendoff before the next undead chapter begins.
