Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Carry Forward Skins – What You Need to Know

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is just around the corner, and fans have been curious about which skins from Black Ops 6 will carry forward. Activision has now confirmed the details—but spoiler alert: it’s a very limited selection.

Originally, Activision announced a Carry Forward program that would allow players to bring their Black Ops 6 skins into Black Ops 7. However, most of these plans were later canceled. This means that the majority of skins, including paid ones, will not transfer to the new game.

🎮 What Skins Will Carry Forward

Despite the limitations, a few notable items from Black Ops 6 will be available in Black Ops 7 at launch:

1. Four Main Quest Operator Skins (Zombies) – These are the main quest rewards for operators in Black Ops 6 and will be ready to use in Black Ops 7 from day one. 2. New Orders Prestige Level 1000 Operator Skin – This exclusive reward will be available for the operator Samuels at launch. 3. Guild Override Camo Skin – Players who preorder Black Ops 7 can unlock this Black Ops 6 camo, which will carry over into the new game.

Treyarch highlighted this in a recent tweet:

“Heads up, Zombies players: any of the 4 Main Quest Operator Skin rewards earned in Black Ops 6 will be available in Black Ops 7 at launch!
And for the truly dedicated, the ‘New Orders’ Prestige Level 1000 Operator Skin reward will also be available for Samuels on day one.”

⚠️ What Won’t Carry Forward

Most guns, operators, and skins from Black Ops 6 will not carry over to Black Ops 7. Activision explained the decision, stating:

“Black Ops 7 needs to feel authentic to Call of Duty and its setting.”

This means many of the wacky or unconventional skins from Black Ops 6 are staying behind.

🔁 Other Carry Forward Items

While the majority of cosmetic content won’t transfer, some items still do:

  • Double XP tokens – Progress bonuses earned in Black Ops 6 will carry over.

  • GobbleGums (Zombies) – Your collection will remain intact in Black Ops 7.

It’s worth noting that these changes only affect Black Ops 7—your Black Ops 6 content will still carry forward to Call of Duty: Warzone.

📅 Release and Beta Info

Black Ops 7 officially launches on November 14, 2025, but players will get a sneak peek during the multiplayer beta in early October. Make sure to mark your calendar so you don’t miss out.

⚡ Closing Thoughts

The Carry Forward program in Black Ops 7 is limited, but fans can still enjoy some key rewards from Black Ops 6. Focus on securing the main quest operator skins, the Prestige Level 1000 reward, and the Guild Override camo if you want to maximize your content in the new game.
